New Year New Team Fuel Member

Introducing Sports Performance Nutritionist & the newest member of #TeamFuel James Morehen

It's a New Year & at Fuel HQ we're determined to make 2016 the best yet. We've set some ambitious targets & to help us deliver them we've enlisted the help of James Morehen!

James is the Sports Performance Nutritionist for Warrington Wolves Rugby League and PhD researcher at Liverpool John Moores University & is someone who brings a wealth of nutritional knowledge with him, cutting his teeth at the top of his field working with some of the worlds best Rugby players. With a scientific approach to food, we're looking forward to having James join #TeamFuel.

Dont just take our word for it, James says - “I am very excited to be a part of Fuel Station going forward and give them my support in the professional rugby arena. The idea of Fuel Station is brilliant and with Kurt and his team so dynamic to ideas and changes they have been a real advantage to have this pre-season at Warrington Wolves. Their meals are tasty, healthy and can be tailored exactly how I want them to be for my players. Over the next few years, its going to be great to grow with Fuel Station and develop the next generation of healthy delivered but evidence driven meals for my players!”
James is currently the Sports Nutrition consultant to Warrington Wolves rugby league as they prepare for their 2016 European Super League campaign. Loosely, James looks after the full senior, academy and youth players and provides support to feeder clubs to Warrington Wolves. Originally a Snowboard instructor in Canada, James graduated from LJMU from a BSc in Sports and Exercise Science and MSc in Sports Physiology in 2014. He currently studies his PhD in Sports Nutrition supervised by Dr Graeme Close and Dr James Morton (England Rugby and Team Sky Nutritionists, respectively).

From an applied perspective, James works privately with clients helping with body composition manipulation, education and strategies regarding nutrition. He is on the graduate Sport and Exercise Nutrition register (SENr) and is a qualified with the International Society for the Advancement of Kinanthropometry (ISAK).

We're really excited to be working with James over the next year & are expecting some big changes to how we approach our delivered diets & macro controlled meal plans! Want to have a little spy on the big man himself? Don't be shy & follow him on Twitter:
